Salvia ‘Augusta Duelberg’ is a cultivar of Mealycup Sage. Despite its delicate look, this Texas native perennial can handle our extreme weather. If trimmed periodically, it comes back refreshed and thicker and reblooms. It is drought, heat, and sun tolerant, and about the only thing it cannot handle is wet feet. It does break fairly easy, so plant it away from high-traffic or windy areas. Salvia ‘Augusta Duelberg’ makes an excellent plant for perennial gardens and mass planting, with blooms that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
