Pycnanthemum albescens (Whiteleaf Mountain Mint)
$ 14.98
Whiteleaf Mountain Mint is unique in that is develops a whitish edge to the upper leaves. The white coloration slowly spreads over the leaves creating silvery bracts. Flowers are white with purple spots. The leaves are aromatic when crushed, filling the air with a minty aroma.
Whiteleaf Mountain Mint is adaptable and will grow in full sun, part sun or part shade in open woods, in moist to dry soils.
As with all plants in the mint family, it can spread somewhat aggressively by rhizomes. Best used in naturalized gardens as its appearance is very informal.
